Your Buskers by the Lake Festival Guide

We've got an action-packed weekend of mystique, magic and marvel in store for you at Australia's largest busking festival!

And to ensure you and your friends have an epic time, we've put together our top tips and tricks for the weekend. Scroll down .....

Spot your fave performers

From award-winning musicians to circus stunts, comedy, contortion and sword swallowing, we've got over 250 performers set to entertain across 13 stages!

When and where

The 'Buskers by the Lake' festival is held at Lake Kawana - Sportsmans Parade, Bokarina. Opposite Sunshine Coast Stadium.

The festival is open Sat 20 + Sun 21 August from 10am - 6pm each day, with an after party kicking on until 10pm (separate entry ticket required).

What to bring
BYO alcohol is NOT PERMITTED and security will be on watch, so please do not bring your own drinks or eskies.

Remember to slip, slop, slap at the festival! If you’re wanting to bring shade we will permit small structures such as umbrellas, however gazebos are a no-go. We also recommend you bring your own fold up chairs and picnic rugs to sit and enjoy the music.

Don't forget to tip!
Our buskers are only paid by the gratuities of our crowds, so please tip. We keep our ticket prices extremely low so you can fill your purse with an extra stash of cash to share amongst the buskers.

Taste the world
We've joined forces with Admiralty House, the only digs in Australia with two one hatted restaurants under the one roof. Critically acclaimed chef, Richard Brown heads up both The Darwin Club and Char Restaurant and he's designed a festival menu for us that is guaranteed to take your taste buds on a trip of a lifetime! A few of our favourite local foodies are also on the line-up, serving smiles as a side!

Our bars will be cashless
Our bars will be cashless, so get ready to tap 'n go! Visa, Mastercard or Amex debit or credit cards are accepted. No worries if you do forget your money honey, an ATM will be accessible at the event too.

Sorry, no furry friends
We are not a pet-friendly festival so please leave your pets at home too.

Dress for the occasion
Get your festival swagger ready – we want everyone dressed to impress in their psychedelic threads. Remember, we are an outdoors festival so be prepared for all types of weather. Shoes are a must too (closed in and comfortable are always best)!
